You know what? I've been so busy "working", shopping around for college stuff, feeding my neopet and trying to finish "The Legend of Zelda" (The original) that I haven't gotten the chance to write about my experience at orientation! Lemme think why I never had the chance to type...Well... after Thursday and the orientation I went shopping for stuff on Friday. I love stuff you know. So I was getting all these things, mini ironing boards, mini fridges, mini TV. On Saturday I was "working" (i.e. taking care of Auntie Susie's children, at the price of 40 dollars a day...sounds familiar. I heard rumors of certain neighbor's grandmother working there for 50 didn't cook and smoked. So I guess I'm doing more for less eh?) And I fortunately caught on to the Amazing Race, since I missed it on Tuesday and I forgot that the show was at 10, not 9 and accidentally taped Big Brother. Go Charla and Mirna! Woo-hoo (Them and for some reason Brandon & Nicole & God).
Flash forward to Sunday and what am I doing? Working again. Well that's 80 dollars in my pocket. I brought "Spirited Away" and we watched it. All but one child watched; Kelvin was glued to the recently bought "Ages of Mythology" game. The girls and Kenneth all mentioned how they liked it. I suggested to Ken that if he wanted something like that but a little more violent, he should watch "Princess Mononoke". Monday I took a long nap I woke up about 4 from sleeping at 9. I guess that's where my 7 1/2 hours of nighttime sleep went. Am I turning into my mother? Eh, who knows? Tuesday, hmm...what did I do? Oh yeah! I went to the bank and deposited my money into the bank: 60 in savings, 40 in checking. I still don't know how I got the other 20 dollars in my wallet. (I also shopped some more and Watched "The Amazing Race, go Charla and Mirna (& Phyllis)
Wednesday was a little bit of a shocker to me I thought that day would be the one were we went to the Insurance Place and haggle for lower rates by showing report cards and stuff quickly followed by a trip to the outlet. Nope. I somehow wake up at 8:30 go downstairs and my mother goes to me, "Hey you wanna go to AC Mike?" and I’m all like, "Whatever you want to do mom" and she's like, "I'll tell dad". He mysteriously agrees too and were gone at 9-something, (my mom had to go get money from the bank). While my dad is driving, I'm trying to get past level 4/5 in Zelda, Apply Sunscreen (that my mom and I bought from Harmon), and read my PSM magazine. Did you know that there have been 100 Million Playstations (one of course) sold? And that it's finally retiring. It's like 7 years old... Where was I again? Oh yeah, for the "first half" (pre-4/5 o'clock lunch/dinner) I spent like 40 dollars at the arcade close by the Tropicana (today was a reversal of my normal routine, normally I walk to Taj, eat, walk to Tropicana-area) I was back and fourth between Street Fighter 2 and the video poker machine. When I get old enough to play at the casino, I think I might spend time in front of a video poker machine, and then when I get enough money I'll buy a) and Ultracade with Street Fighter 2 built in or b) A Pump It Up Machine. Eh, I guy can dream...Actually, I'd also like either a "Circus Voltare" or a "Harley Davidson" pinball machine. Those are the two of my most favorite pinball machines. Oh god, am I digressing? I got 6000 points so I used 4000 to get two Yu-gi-oh booster packs. Hmm... 10 dollars in booster packs, 40 dollars playing. Eh, it was fun. And then we ate at the "Cafe Roma" since the line for the buffet was a bitch. I ordered my chicken noodle soup and pork lo mein. (It was the "good" pork, you know, with the red on it) The lo mein was a little salty, just a little. My dad ordered a side of chicken fingers and for some odd reason it tasted sweet, like they used corn dog batter or something. And I also ordered a cheesecake. Yummy. I now had to walk to Taj after eating that cheesecake. When I was walking over, I saw a new ride over at the "steel pier". It looked cool, but I wanted to get my game on first. I went to the arcade and looked at my pocket; I had one single so I played 2 games of "Circus Voltare", pretty unsuccessfully. I hit a lot of the buttons but it didn't register. I guess the machine is getting old. I went over to the pier and saw the ride; "Disk-o" was six tickets, so I bought individual tickets (4.50 for 6 tickets!). It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. Imagine in your head merging the "Sea Dragon" and "Thunderbolt" Together. It was good, just not as scary, I will try it one night though, the rides on that pier at night gain scary points. Even that Ferris Wheel...ooh spooky. So when we're driving home my sister calls all like, "Mom sounded like the Report Card she wanted from me was urgent, did you get it?"
Thursday, (yesterday) was pretty busy too, more "work". Early in the morning my Mom had to do "research" on the Atlantic City bus that leaves at Nathans. I also bought a magnetic eraser board. Getting back to "work", I actually managed to beat Kenneth in Yu-gi-oh, so I feel good. That's because I use semi-ghetto cards. The less "rare" ones. I brought a Jessica Simpson DVD, a Britney DVD and "A Walk to Remember". I had to show Cheska how Jessica and Mandy are better singers, much better. I will stop here, but my next post will involve the whole orientation experience. Heh, that’s funny, did you notice that there are less blogs, but the blogs that are here are longer? It’s the whole Quality/Quantity debacle .
