The Sunday Morning Michael News

I know I'm not one of those people that read news articles and then rants about what I think about things in society, but really, you can laugh at the early mornings i spend on google reading about the most random of business, entertainment or US stories. These few caught my eye since I just visited the Philippines. The rest? Well, they somehow caught my eye...or something.

Philippines' Jollibee thinks... "First India, then the world!"
Was Jollibee that popular? Am I the only one that thinks their burgers taste like plastic? I mean my Auntie Nens mentioned the usage of very nutritional meal worms in some of the patties, but health aside wouldn't there be some sorta taste standard? Arlyne claims to like the "Jolli-spaghetti" and maybe I shouldn't shun the whole store just because their burgers are bad. I figure it can do well in India because of it's cheapness.

Indians can read...and a lot
...but that's not the point, it turns out that Philippines is the number 3 in reading, amassing 7.6 hours a day. You know why? They probably read the bible, a lot. My mother mentions certain members on her kooky side of the family being acting bastardly to my grandparents (when they were alive) because of financial troubles, when my mother payed off bills/land when she still lived there. But what does this story have to do with reading? Those certain people claim to be uber-religious and still they can't put their teachings to their own life. I mean seriously, you think you'd learn something from reading.

Scrabble is soo cool!
I was a little early in using "QI" during my time in the Philippines and Auntie Nens didn't believe that it was a word, let alone an acceptable word. Actually looking at that list again, i used "ZINE" and we agreed it was a word. Heh. I actually only know what 1, 5, and 10 are. I didn't expect there was an alternate spelling for Cabala... with a Q! That's right! I'm gonna use that like I would "Qat" and "Faqir". "QI" and "ZA" will now go with my new two letter best friends: DE, RE, ER, MU, NU, and AA. I mean I am currently reading "Word Freak" and it's very interesting. I would suggest it to anyone who likes Scrabble, or the documentary Spellbound.

Jason West, new neighbor. Amazon tries to make SUNY New Paltz Look Good.
Did I mention that where i'm living over the summer that Mayor Jason West lives nearby? Odd right. But anywho I was cracking up when I heard that Amazon claimed Mayor West was from SUNY New Paltz, psh-shaw. Like SUNY New Paltz has that much to hype... *cough* Blair Witch Project *Cough*.

Supposedly Inside your Heaven...again?
That's why I've never heard the song on the radio yet! It's because radio stations are gonna start playing it starting July 5th. But my real question is, why does Bo have a single out with "Inside your heaven" as his "A-Side"? I don't get it. I mean Diana Degarmo's first single was: Dreams, Don't Cry Out Loud, and I Believe in that order. Fantasia's song was "I Believe" but it's not like Diana was toutiing I Believe as her single too. Geez. Bo, that's mean, to say the least.

Well that's it for now. You know, this is kinda cool, maybe i'll spend some sundays doing this.
