Dear Everyone,
Under the wonderful circumstances that I’m in, I managed to get a chance to blog. I basically get to sit in front of a computer at an internet café in Cagayan for God knows how long while my mother and Aunty Nens get pampered. Wonderful give and take eh? The keyboard is a little odd though, you know it’s kinda a cross between a laptop’s and a keyboard, and you know how I’ve tried to adjust to one and then readjust to the other.
But getting to the story, long hours of flight, people I kinda remember but I’m forced on the fly to try my best to remember things, television channels that focus on the most random of news stories, the fact that they haven’t announced who the apprentice is here and more…
Okay getting to the details. The flight was long and…strenuous? I dunno, my vocabulary is also on vacation. Yeah, I could never get used to the whole sit there for a while, watch parts of Limeny Snickets (or however you spell things), Ocean’s Twelve, some Korean movie called “Long and Winding Road” which was about how this mother who got dizzy spells when she rode on anything and how she walked like 80…I’m assuming miles to get to her daughter’s wedding and by the time she gets there she dies, and read Running With Scissors, which I finished by hour four of thirteen or so hours. I did have my MP3 file CD with 79 songs on it but when I hit random the numbers would always go to the same five songs (or so it seemed). The fact that I sat at the window did prove some hindrance in the fact that I am a chronic pee-er, but I held my own.
Then there’s hmm…the cellphone debacle. Blame my mother (or is it my father?) on the fact that she can’t remember the difference between “Smart” and “Globe.” But I can use my cell phone and I have like 29 pesos left on it. I have to remind myself to buy ringtones here since they are only 15 pesos (or so I’ve heard)…
Actually I’m being cut off…some “transfer” or something to get their peticures and stuff. I’ll see what I can do later.
Having Fun,
Michael.
