Year In Recap: Part 1: The Questionnaire

Heh I sorta stole this from Ryan (and most of his answers...I'm kidding!) But I thought it was a good way to start. How I look at myself now. Parts two and three sorta go through the music and what I said this year. But enought with my blabber, lets see if you know everything about my life.

5. What countries did you visit?
The USA. You know how things change right as you sit here and read things. Yeah America's probably not the same.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
Well, everyone always asks for money. But I'd like a car, but its not necessary right now.

Heh, sorta. It's hard to explain. But I'm over with it. I also fell in love with my Ipod.

22. How many one night stands?
I'm not a one night stand type. Thats like being a ho... or something.

Umm, no. I try my best to either like you or pretend i don't know you.

25. What was the best book you read?
Well..umm did i read anything? I'm pretty sure that I read A Streetcar Named Desire by Tenessee Williams and that was really good. I did think that Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan was very...well... odd, but interesting. There was that book Lucky by Eddie De Oliveira, but that wasn't good. Umm. Angela and I re-read Fox in Sox by Dr. Seuss, now that was great.... I almost forgot that I read Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk and that was Grrreat!

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Hmm...Utada Hikaru. Quickly followed by Twelve Girl Band. Oh! Ciara! Goodies and 1,2 Step are really hot jams. And some more Alterna/Punk/Rock/Emo but I always liked that.

An Ipod. Time away from my family. A laptop. A kick ass Haloween Costume.... i dunno Eva winning America's Next Top Model: 3.

Hmm This one's hard. Here are some.

Drama - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Horror - The Grudge
Not released in 2004 but I watched this year - The Passion of the Christ, Aladin, Mulan

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Ummm...i really don't remember. But I turned 18! And I got this kick ass present from Angela. It was a superman lunchbox with a journal, "dum gum", and A mini "The Onion" bookie. It was soooo cool.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
...more satisfying? Better grades. Me being more me-ish? I dunno. Confidence of myself. <---What Am I? Japanese? Self-Confidence is the word i'm looking for.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Well I always seemed to describe my clothing as "Pop-Punk/Rock" But "Stupid" of course fits well. You know shirts, pants, shirts, ties, belts, suspenders, kick ass shoes.

33. What kept you sane?
Midnight Walks. Friends. Reality Television. Education.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Fancy? Hmm... umm Alica Keys. *Cough* Diana Degarmo.

Hmm...well...no...but... I miss my friends from high school...a little.

37. Who was the best new person you met?
Well There's Jamily. Angela, Jin and, Althea (And Me, I make the M). The acapella people...sorta out of all the acapella people though, of course Kevin stands out. He keeps me sane during practices, because he's often flat when he sings.

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004.
When things aren't going your way, somehow (i'll say it) God knows what he's doing. Out of nowhere, when you're feeling down, God gives you an Ipod. Love life on a wierd spiral? God gives you a George Forman Grill. I guess my faith in a higher power, faith in friends, and faith in myself have taken a big big boost. I guess my big life lesson (from the book of cliches) is when you're given oranges you make orange juice.

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
Hmmm...here's my top 5:

5)I won't worry my life away.

When I fall in love I take my time

There's no need to hurry when I'm making up my mind

You can turn off the sun but I'm still gonna shine

-Jason Mraz "The Remedy"

4)What Goes Around, Comes Around.

What Goes Up, Must Come Down.

-Alicia Keys "Karma"

3)The words are hushed lets not get busted;

just lay entwined here, undiscovered.

Safe in here from all the stupid questions.

"hey did you get some?"

Man, that is so dumb.

Stay quiet, stay near, stay close they can't hear...

so we can get some.

-Dashboard Confessional "Hands Down"

2)I gotta tell you, I wanna tell you

I can be lazy but I'll try not to

Maybe I'm not a very honest person

Right now you're sure that you love me

But are you really sure that you know all about me

Up and down and down down down down we go

-Utada "About Me"

The big one:

1)What would I give

If I could live

Outta these waters?

What would I pay

To spend a day

Warm on the sand?

Betcha on land

They understand

Bet they don't reprimand their daughters

Bright young women

Sick o' swimmin'

Ready to stand

And ready to know what the people know

Ask 'em my questions

And get some answers

What's a fire and why does it

(What's the word?) burn?

When's it my turn?

Wouldn't I love

Love to explore that shore above?

Out of the sea

Wish I could be

Part of that world

-The Little Mermaid "Part of Your World"

Sappy eh?...Yeah, but it sorta fits. I'm not a daughter, but other than that, it's supposed to be that ideal song about being free from the holds of your parents trying your best in the "real world." Or something to that extent.

Part two and three coming very very soon! Part two: My top 50 songs played on Itunes! There's no shockers here. Not a lot of current songs here either. Odd. Part three? Thats the dumb things I said this year.
