Long time from posting? I know, i'm really busy at New Paltz. Orientation week is good and all, i mean it's different but good. Today I wanted to focus on some of the people I've met/hung out with/stuff. (Key: OR - Met at Orientation, New - met during the move in week, and RM - roomates)

Althea - OR - The first person I wanted to see after orientation. Though I might not see her much because we don't share any classes, I wanted to take the time to hang out. She's half guyaneese (Random). She was the one who introduced me to the term "Niggerish/Niggahish" meaning a person who (usually white) tries to act black (or blacker than normal). We share a lot of things in common, she knows city life since she's from Brooklyn. It's funny though, her boyfriend has a lot of things in common with me, expecially the fact that we're both giving Virgos. (She's a leo)

Angela - OR - I was a little upset that I didn't see her on friday, it turns out that she was still vacationing and moved in on saturday. I lucked out and found her on saturday in the school store and we've been hanging out ever since. She is also a virgo (Sept. 12) and we laugh at the same things. She has a little bit of an odd laugh, but it's nice to hear it. She's going into the similar communications path.

Marc - RM - He's my roommate, a self proclaimed slightly-anti-social person. He's the type who doesn't like answering the phone. He's really nice and is very committed to his girlfriend. She is supposedly going to a catholic college/university in Albany, but they are supposedly supposed to visit every weekend. In some ironic twist his bedsheets are orange, thus creating the colors of the school. You gotta like him though, he has the Homer Simpson poster.

Jin - New - Angela's roomate, she's also from the city (i think queens). She is very funny to me, her and her Chinese-isms (which to be more precise are Jin-isms). She had the little jelly in the cup they sell at oriental stores, she was sporting the "endless bag" that had everything fit mysteriously, she would give funny stories about her short time at McDonalds, and exclaim that she's been drinking since she was a kid since it was around in their Chinese family. She seems to snack a lot but she is really thin.

John - RM - The only other roomate in my suite I've got a chance to talk to. (I haven't really gotten to know Other Mike/"Jared", That transfer student Andrew, and I think the other one is Drew...or Derrick or something like that. Anywho, I was gonna approach all of them at a later time but John pulled off the concerned parent and went "Where are you going?" and I said, "Out". He claims (though i'm not too sure how accurate he is) that when I turn 18 that we'll go to a strip joint. Ha, like I'd really want to go there, strip clubs have never really been my thing.

Precilla - New - I only met her twice, but she seems like a nice girl. She thought I was a little crazy because of the way I dance.

Jake/Lisa/Christina/Joe - OR - The pot-related ones. Joe has recently gotten more of that "Sniper" look to Althea, but I always liked him. Christina and Lisa are still the same to me, motions and actions similar to orientation week. Jake? Still throwing the statistics at anyone who wants to hear.

Zady/Rosemary - OR - I never really associated with either but both try to bring a little latin flavor to me. Rosemary smokes, Zady claims that she is "allergic to smoke". Rosemary is always on the cell phone, Zady is always with that one friend who I don't know.

Jackie - OR - I'm pretty sure that I'll talk to her a little more since we share 2 classes, but this week has been more of a "Hey there" type thing.

Eh, If I think of something and I have the time, I'll post. Classes start on Wednesday. Oops, its hitting 6:45, I promised Althea, Angela, and Jin that we'd go eat together and then go to Karaoke night. Bye!!
